The Centre for Spinal Studies and Surgery (CSSS) was awarded the Prestigious Accreditation as Surgical Spine Centre of Excellence within Europe in December, 2023.
Mr. Khalid Salem, the Consulatnt Spinal Surgeon and also the Head of Spinal Surgery Service, submitted the audit in October, 2023. The vast range of spinal pathologies included during the audit were degenerative diseases, Tumor (including intradural pathologies), Infectious, inflammatory and metabolic diseases, Injuries, Deformities (including congenital spine disease). The audit was successfully passed according to EUROSPINE, the Spine Society of Europe Guidelines for Surgical Spine Centre of Excellence (SSCoE, Version A [1 February 2019]).
It is a great achivement for the team and and a very proud moment.
