Website Accessibility

Improving the accessibility of our website helps to increase the number of people who can access information about our hospital. We are striving to improve our internet site and we will always ensure accessibility is at the forefront of all future developments.

Browser compatibility

This site has been developed and tested in several internet browsers including Internet Explorer versions 5.5 to 9, Firefox up to 3.6, Opera 9 and 10, Safari 4 and Google Chrome version 1-3. If you are experiencing problems viewing our internet site with your current browser, we would recommend upgrading your internet browser to the most recent version of Firefox, or Internet Explorer.

Text Size

The text size can be adjusted using your browser's settings. In internet Explorer, this is accessible via page > text size menu option in Internet Explorer 8+ or view > text size in earlier versions of IE. In Firefox 3, you can change the text size by setting selecting view > zoom > zoom text only, then using view > zoom in to increase the text size of the site. Other browsers may have methods of increasing the text size. Please refer to the help content for your particular browser.

Keyboard Accessibility

The main navigation elements for the website are keyboard accessible using tab keys and cursor/enter keys. This feature is available for Firefox version 1+ and Internet Explorer 5.5 +. Other browsers, including Google Chrome, may not fully support keyboard navigation.
